Crown Vics in Oak Park

Nothin’ like a little swing to start out your weekend! We went all the way out to Oak Park, to a resteraunt called Slaton’s Supper Club to catch the Crown Vics — and it was totally worth the drive!! Plus we got Ruby to come back into town afterward for a little more dancing at the Clipper. Yeah!!

Old pic; this is from last weekend when a bunch of us went downtown to see the river turn green then sat 100 feet too far away to see anything for 45 minutes before realizing that we missed it. But now we know for next year!

Dinner at Karen’s Place

On the menu: spaghetti with five pounds of curry, a bell pepper, and mushrooms. Also sauteed a bell pepper in lamington (an australian dessert). Karen says I’m the only person on the face of the earth who would think to do something like that. It was an amazing night.

End of Parade

So we actually kinda missed the parade. We would see the floats on the other side of the bridge but as soon as they went under they’d stop and everyone jumped off. We picked a spot right after the end of the parade. Unbelievable. First we missed the river dye, then this. (!!) That’s ok though, I had a great day anyway!
