Yeah the party last night had a few CRAZY moments… like when K.T. started making chicken sounds and rolling around like a fat chicken that KFC pumped with so many hormones that it couldn’t even move. The party was awesome… although I was a little beat by the end and even fell asleep on Mandie’s couch. Great way to end a long week. :)

More L.A. Dancing at Joe’s

Last night, met up with a girl I met at LindyGroove last week named Joy for some more dancing. Couldn’t stay too late but I had an awesome time. Hmmm. I just now realized that I forgot to pay for my dinner and drinks. Oops! I kindof left in a hurry because I had to make a 10pm phone call to Italy.

Private Blues Concert

After the music started winding down at Babe’s and Ricky’s we all went around the corner and took over another bar. They had this small room upstairs and we all went up there, then one of the girls popped one of her blues CD’s in so we could have some good music to dance to. Then about 20 minutes later some of the musicians from Babe’s and Ricky’s started coming over - and next thing you know they’re jammin’ up front and we’ve got a personal, intimate, live blues band and amazing dancing — definitely one of the coolest dancing experiences of my life! And I’m not exaggerating!

Wow - amazing music AND dancing last night here in Los Angeles! Went with a bunch of dancers to this places called Babe’s and Ricky’s (check them out at www.bluesbar.com ). Only $7 cover for live music and a ton of free food.

House Concert with Dean Windemuller and Open Land

Well it’s a short weekend back in Chicago before heading back to LA… but I still got to hear some great music and even do a little blues dancing! Dawn and I went to a house concert at John Green’s place tonight. Turns out that the guy on the right playing guitar with Dean is also in Bryan Pardo’s klezmer band - talk about a small world moment!! (Bryan Pardo is one of Dawn’s good friends who I also know.)

This is my hotel. I’m in the San Fernando valley in LA. Life is good.

Oh - and anything that I thought was Mexican in Chicago now just feels like a fraud. Right now I’m eating Mexican takeout and listening to a Spanish radio station. I’m about to go swing dancing. Life is great.

The whole family came to Chicago for thanksgiving! Mom, dad, John and Joel. The highlights were the CSO, an amazing Greek dinner, and church at UBC sunday morning. It was fantastic!
